This spacious, family-owned boutique — an independent stalwart amid Montague Street's steadily growing assortment of chains — has been stocking the closets of working women since the late 1970s. In fact, many longtime clients come with their daughters and granddaughters, and the staff-customer bond is apparent in the casual, friendly conversations floating through the store. Crisp, delicately detailed suits by Theory, Max Mara, and Tahari practically fly off the shelves each season. And although Tango specializes in office-appropriate wares, they have more casual pieces as well, like candy-colored tees by Splendid and Three Dots, Vince cashmere cardigans, and bold print dresses and velour hoodies from Juicy Couture.
