This Williamsburg vintage shop, hidden beneath the BQE, touts an impressive selection of button-down shirts in seventies prints, breezy summer dresses, and broken-in boots. The brick walls are adorned with vintage signs, movie posters, and the crème de la crème of the shop’s concert tees (everything from AC/DC to Madonna), and the entryway is framed by glass cases of jewelry, barrels of printed scarves, and a few decorative surfboards. Unlike its West Village sister store, Stella Dallas, 10 Ft. Single offers garb for both sexes, devoting equal space to mens- and womenswear. The racks are packed with brightly printed dresses, eighties tees, and quirky-preppy button-downs. Shoes are scattered liberally about the store, with heels, flats, and Converse sneakers displayed under clothing racks and the better part of a wall lined with cowboy boots. Purses range from slouchy leather shoulder bags to tiny evening clutches. The store’s more authentic (and expensive) vintage stock is hidden in a separate back room, including lacy dresses and full skirts for women and logo tees and military jackets for men.
