Profile
A narrow, glass storefront reveals the ground floor of this beautifully designed shop, whose airy feel belies the fact that the space—once a cramped jewelry shop and, even before that, a Chinese take-out—is only about nine feet wide. The concept was to create a store that, like the name, would allow customers to feel truly at home, and the two designers (Savania Davies-Keiller and Joel Morales) and artist/producer (Michael Capotosto) who opened it have done just that. Visitors are often served champagne or handmade chocolates before making their way down a spiral staircase to the lower level, where the store’s men’s and women’s lines, which have simple but refined cuts and are as beautiful inside as they are out, hang on vintage metal racks. A highly curated selection of home goods is also on display, including art and design books, ceramic pieces, knot sculptures by Capotosto, and Japanese textiles. If visiting leaves you wanting to move in, there is the store’s invitation-only (but can’t hurt to ask) membership program, which gives access to bespoke services and nets you seasonal gifts, among other perks.
