This sleek, modern Flatiron store is a one-stop shop for the urban running enthusiast. The design of the space brings to mind the aerodynamic style of New Balance’s training apparel, and while the shoes are the real attraction, other types of running and training clothes are on display, from warm-up pants and tank tops to sweatbands. The company, which boasts that they are the only athletic shoe manufacturer that still makes shoes inside the U.S., prides itself on stressing healthy exercise techniques. Specially trained in-house “fit specialists” are there to make sure shoppers get the right size, shape and width from their shoe selection; they are also able to analyze runners’ gait and form and offer personalized tips to help customers stay injury-free.
