Sharing a tiny storefront and cooking space with BB Sandwich Bar’s Gary Thompson (the Village’s very own cheesesteak impresario), Tonnie Rozier turns out some of the cutest cupcakes east of Magnolia Bakery. The counter began as a low-rent test site for his petite creations, which are made fresh throughout the day. Tonnie is on hand to serve and recommend his favorite varieties from the Lilliputian display case and coffee counter. Layers of Red Velvet and yellow cake form a decadent creation called Golden Heart; Chocolate Kiss is made up of luscious chocolate cake hidden inside a yellow Mini and topped with chocolate buttercream icing—any guilt is assuaged by their diminutive size.  An even smaller, thimble-sized version named The Cake Shot can be ordered by the dozen. Addictively cute, right? Just don’t go on a Saturday night; the lines get long when NYU students get the munchies. — Jessica Romm

Minis are available for weddings, and Tonnie will customize icing flavors and Cake Shots to suit the bride and groom’s tastes and colors.
