Profile
There’s no better place to peruse high-end brands—Rolex, Patek Philippe, Chopard, and Tourneau’s own lines (and just about everyone else, for that matter). It’s not that hard to fall for Tourneau’s LeTonneau—a stainless-steel chronograph with a silver guilloche dial on the bracelet and three interchangeable leather straps. There’s also a good selection of used watches and vintage collectors’ items on hand.
Key Departments
Watches: Vintage
In addition to their new watches, all the Tourneau shops sell used and vintage timepieces. You can check out the pricey Breguet or Audemars Piguet specimens, or the more reasonably priced TAG Heuer.
There are many Tourneaus in the City so you will always find the watch you want. There are good service people and bad service people so I can see why ratings mixed. So, it is simple: Go see Tony, Mike, Ambrose and the team at the 53rd and Madison shops. They are friendly, interested and knowledgeable. There's a good selection but more importantly they will get you whatever you need so even if a second visit is required it's worth having a friend at the store if ever a problem does arise!
Yes the selection is great. No they will not negotiate. No they will not be helpful. No they will not be friendly. Yes they will sell you timepieces with an attitiude.
