A type of fixed-gear bike that lacks brakes or multiple gears, the track bike has developed a cult following among fearless city riders and bike messengers who appreciate their simple design and light weight; prices range from $750 for a basic model upward to $6,000 for a deluxe carbon-fiber Bridgestone. Trackstar also carries vintage jerseys and messenger bags as well as store-label cotton T-shirts, cyclist hoodies with a three-panel rear pocket, and short-brimmed Ratstar hats.
