The Puma-owned footwear and sporting company is best known for its rubber rain boots and tennis balls. This is the brand’s first stand-alone store in the world, and the décor fits its stylish, sporty image. Transparent walls are filled with yellow tennis balls and shoppers can bat around a ball attached to a string with plastic rackets in the center of the shop. The best sellers are shoes, especially the unisex Skerry boots with distinctive white soles and classic, unadorned Skymra canvas sneakers. But the selection extends beyond the basics, offering lace-up varieties for women, heavy-duty lumber and firefighter boots for men, and galoshes printed with cars and flowers for kids. The shop also carries an assortment of casual men’s apparel, including brightly-colored cotton button-downs, wool pullovers, T-shirts, and light jackets. But the real focal point is affixed to the wall, near the entrance: The glass-and-wood Caillou boat, a gleaming sailing canoe that retails for $9,400.
