When Union opened in 1989, it all but invented the concept of upscale streetwear—a look now so ubiquitous it defines much of MTV’s fashion aesthetic. Owner Mary Ann Fusco started out selling wares at Soho flea markets and street fairs, eventually opening Union, Stussy, and Supreme before she and her then-partner parted ways. Now, Union is Fusco’s sole project. She sells great silk-screened tees, sourced from near and far, and emblazoned with images, photographic renderings, or text. The high-end denim from Levis Vintage Collection costs well into three digits. Also featured are Japanese brands, Neighborhood and Visvim, as well as baseball caps by Tyrone Barfield and New Era (which are about the style you support, not the team you root for).
SalesEnd-of-season sales from January through February and in August.
