Unlike its stylish megastore neighbors—Intermix, H&M, and Uniqlo—this disheveled Broadway boutique doesn’t lure sidewalk shoppers with impressive window displays or endless racks of clothing. Instead, the main draw here is the surprising array of high-end labels hidden inside. Several circular towers display haphazard piles of denim from True Religion and Joe’s Jeans, as well as stylishly worn graphic tees from Zabari’s own label. Providing splashes of color to the otherwise stark space are vibrant paisley dresses and braided halter tops by in-demand femme designers like Tricia Fix and Susana Monaco. But the abundant stock is not restricted to the skirt-wearing set: Exactly half of the store is devoted to male browsers, who can comb the racks for rock-and-roll-flavored apparel like distressed Salvage hoodies and guitar-laden tees from the boys at Fender. Toward the back, silver tubs brimming with ever-changing accessories—from studded leather belts and knit scarves to skull-and-crossbones-print leggings—provide the perfect finishing touch.
