This French brand with stores worldwide brings a casual air to its Soho location. Half the clothing hangs on racks that line the walls, while the rest lies neatly folded on low shelves running through the middle of the space. There's an element of calculated nonchalance to the presentation: The overall effect is of viewing clothes on display in an unusually spacious and brightly lit bedroom. The men's section offers muted shirts and sweaters that are stylish but comfortable, while the women's selection, with the occasional fur vest or sequined dress, has considerably more variety and is imbued with a touch more flair. But all the items share the same rock-and-roll street-chic aesthetic epitomized by model Erin Wasson, a muse of the brand’s designer, Thierry Gillier. The accessories available to complete the look are also in this vein—slouchy leather purses, studded motorcycle boots, and watches etched with phrases like art is truth. For a personalized touch, clothing can also be specially ordered to come emblazoned with a message of your choosing.
