CATHERINE

When she returned to the USA, Catherine enrolled in journalism college in New York. Again her move was inspired by a desire to live the life she had admired in movies as a teenager. Straight out of college she landed a job as a gossip columnist with New York Magazine, working on the "Intelligencer" column. The job gets her into all the top show-biz parties, allows her to meet all the celebs, and satisfies her desire to be permanently on the go.

Catherine laughs at how glitzy her life is and how unsuitable she is for it in so many ways -- the most obvious being how clumsy she is….Once, she was all dressed up for a big showbiz bash when suddenly she slipped "on a puddle of champagne and ended up on top of Cyndi Lauper's table! I was absolutely horrified, because she was a childhood hero of mine. . . And when I met Liam Neeson I actually forgot my name he was so gorgeous!"

At the Bridget Jones premiere she stalked Hugh Grant as he was heading for the bathroom, but not before she had stumbled into a couple of tables and tripped. "Did you just see that? Well, is it true," she asked, that you fancy clumsy women like you said in Bridget Jones?" He said he did and Catherine got her interview -- but not a date!

In order to maintain a fitness level that will help her cope with an exhausting schedule, Catherine runs and does yoga. But not Ashtanga yoga -- the active one! She accidentally stumbled into an advanced Ashtanga class and said she totally humiliated herself trying to get her leg behind her head and could barely move the following day! She is also a keen scuba diver.

Catherine loves the city and is living life to the fullest. She currently resides in TriBeCa but longs for the days when she lived in the East Village, before she was priced out of the neighborhood -- one of the downfalls of being a single, self-sufficient woman in the city. "It is like being in a state of permanent adolescence in New York," Catherine says. My life is exhausting, but I love it."

In a dry spell she'll settle for a nice body and a cute accent... >>
