Her closest friend is a girl called Dawn whom she has known since she was 15, when they lived in England. Kirstie's family still lives there, and although she goes back quite frequently, she is not very close to them. She has a brother (18), a half-sister (14), and a step-brother (19). As a family, they traveled a lot: Her teenage years were spent in London and her childhood in Kent. She left school at 15 to pursue her modeling career, spending two years in Singapore.

Last year, Kirstie split with her boyfriend, Pete, of three years. They are still good friends, and she says they get along better that way than as lovers.

A typical night out for Kirstie consists of chasing parties around town. She'll go wherever the hottest parties are happening. She gets up-to-the-minute information from her promoter friends. She also has friends in Montreal and likes to get a lift up there for the weekend; her friend Taylor will drive and they will spend the weekend partying.

Kirstie also tends only to work at nights, so her days are her own. "I don't do anything before midday," she says. She likes to hang out with her friends at trendy cafes, bars and restaurants in the village during the day. One of her favorites is 7A in the village, and her favorite bar is Spa, between Broadway and Fourth Avenue. She also likes to sunbathe on her roof terrace and go rowing in Central Park.
