LORI

But Lori is not the complete bad-ass she comes across as. "I care about what other people think of me. I know in my heart that I am the only one who can decide my own self-worth. On that other hand, I often undervalue myself and my worth to others. This is something that I consciously work on changing. I know that I am a great and loyal friend, have an honest and diligent work ethic, and am fun, but as many New York women will tell you, it is hard to keep your self-esteem in check in as harsh and competitive a city as New York!" This goes doubly for a New York girl who is curvaceous and sexy: In a packed Midtown bar, she struts her stuff in a tiny strapless dress with absolute confidence.

"I was never seen as the girl who would succeed. All my high school yearbook said about me was that I was the girl most likely to wind up divorced." She throws her head back and laughs. "Well, they were half right anyway…"

Lori's five-year marriage ended a year ago, and she has hit the dating scene with a vengeance. According to Lori, the most outrageous thing she ever did was start her own company and leave her husband within a matter of months. Her husband was only the second boyfriend she had ever had.

She admits that it was hard at first; when she got divorced all her friends were single, but one by one they all started to pair off leaving her feeling daunted. But she made new friends quickly. She has an easygoing manner and people appreciate her I'll-tell-it-to-you-straight attitude. And, she is getting a lot of love action…
