Impressively
grim, over-the-top drama has former undercover cop Jason Patric
investigating the grisly death of a fellow officer, accompanied
by a monstrously temperamental investigator (Ray Liotta) whose suspicious
actions complicate the situation. Predictable police-corruption
plotline is redeemed in part by director Joe Carnahan's moody stylization,
