When word got out that Meryl Streep was starring in the movie version of Mamma Mia!, some people wondered whether she was being paid in euros or something. But Streep herself has explained that the producers didn’t even have to twist her arm; she loved the musical! As for what she was thinking when this photograph was taken, it was, she says, “the last shot of ‘Dancing Queen.’ This felt sooo good after dancing on the dock all day.”
