NEW YORK VIEW
Perhaps the year’s oddest New York film (and that’s saying a lot), Andrew Wagner’s comedy stars his irreverent sisters, sweet-hearted mother, and garrulous father, a man who chews a straw with the same intensity Telly Savalas once applied to a lollipop. As they embark on a cross-country road trip from New York to L.A., their affectionate and funny ramble somehow manages to charm, in the most unpredictable ways.

CINEMASOURCE SYNOPSIS
The 70-year old parents of three adult children impulsively embark on a road trip from New York to Los Angeles to visit their uncommunicative son. In tow are their two, late-30s, unmarried daughters, one, a brash, body-obsessed actress who plays Doris on 'E.R.' and the other, a gal whose personality is overshadowed by her overbearing sister in tow. At every turn there is drama, from Emily's sexual confessions and dredging up of childhood traumas to Judy's disenchantment with her husband's past affairs and present medical condition that has rendered him impotent. Along the way they pick up Emily's friend "Bumby" when she is fired as unit publicist on 'Field of Dreams 2' in a cornfield in Iowa. Will the journey finally unite the family and force them to heal old wounds -- or is it 30-some years too late?
