NEW YORK VIEW
The plot of this multicharacter tale is nowhere near as original as its title. The film centers on amorous goings-on among the denizens of a small, rural Croatian town, in particular a determined widow and a Catholic priest. It’s all pleasant and inoffensive enough (despite the priest subplot), and not nearly as risky, insightful, or funny as its creators clearly intended it to be. The scenery looks great on the big screen, though.
