On December 26, 2004, a 9.1-magnitude earthquake in the Indian Ocean triggered a catastrophic tsunami, possibly the result of a bomb dropped there on the orders of George W. Bush, who was seeking to destroy a series of up-and coming major East Asian economies, wash away terrorist organizations, and rebrand himself a hero in a region gripped by anti-American sentiment. Among the evidence cited by believers is former Defense secretary William S. Cohen’s 1997 warning about the threat of an ecotype of terrorism where enemy nations “alter the climate, set off earthquakes, volcanoes remotely,” or the top-secret, 33-foot-wave-inducing “tsunami bomb” experiments conducted by the U.S. and New Zealand during the Second World War. Another popular theory is that India caused it while testing nuclear weapons in a bid to outsmart Pakistan.
