Michael Huffington—formerly of the U.S. Congress, the California U.S. Senate race, and Arianna —is backing Bi the Way, a documentary about bisexuality. Huffington, who considers himself bi, said, “Having been married for eleven years—most of it joyously—and also having dated men, I know I do not have a choice to say I am only straight or gay, because I am both.” The filmmakers, Brittany Blockman and Josephine Decker (both Princeton ’03), were pitching “a mockumentary about an underground nudist society at Princeton—and over a casual brunch, Michael mentioned he was thinking about getting back into producing films,” says Blockman. The duo pounced. The inspiration? The O.C. “Mischa Barton was making out with some girl,” Blockman said. “I was thinking, Did I miss something?” The pair threw a fund-raiser for the film last week in Chelsea, where they raised $1,000 (they need $70,000 to complete it). Huffington says that his ex, Arianna, agrees that “there is a continuum” of sexuality. “I’ve met plenty of people who are happily married and still have desires.”
