Bungalow 8 proprietress Amy Sacco is off the market, thanks to her engagement in Rome last week to Luigi De Carolis (“Gigi” to her), an Italian surgeon specializing in jaw and dental reconstruction. Now for the not-so-fun part: planning a wedding. “It’s daunting!” she said at the premiere party for the new Steve Buscemi and Sienna Miller movie, Interview. “I’m not a girl’s girl, and weddings are a big deal to a lot of people. I think that everyone puts too much energy into the event and not the life.” She declined to describe his proposal (“That’s personal”). Don’t ask her about the dress (“I just got engaged!”) or the ring. (“I don’t need one. A ring isn’t going to keep me warm when I’m cold, sick, or tired.”) There’s no date set for the big day. (“I’d be happy if we did the McVegas thing.”) The registry? Okay, never mind. “Everyone should, like, back off,” she says. “I mean, come on. I’m enjoying my moment in knowing that I have someone who’s a life partner. After 24 years of dating, I’m just happy to have him.”
