What would Jesus do this primary season? “I think Jesus would be very supportive of John Edwards,” Susan Sarandon said at a We-TV voter-registration event November 28. “Edwards has very consistently worked for the poor, for labor, for the middle class. And Jesus was all about people outside the system. The political machines of both parties are completely beholden to corporate interests.” She swigged her beer. “And Jesus was anti-corporate, as we clearly saw in the Temple.”
