The forthcoming French version of John Cameron Mitchell’s Hedwig and the Angry Inch will feature une vraie femme. La Vie en Rose star Marion Cotillard “wants to do it,” said Mitchell at the screening for Atonement last week. “We’re hoping for next year,” with Jean Paul Gaultier possibly doing the costumes. And while he has high praise for Cotillard as a singer and actress, “I don’t know what she’s going to do about the tits,” Mitchell says. “I think I could rewrite and say, you know, Hedwig got implants.”
