Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign may seem on a downward spiral, but Hillary backer Tina Brown isn’t concerned. “Her campaign recovers constantly,” Brown said at a book party at her house on April 1. “It’s about lurching through to the next crash-and-burn moment. It’s Survivor. It’s a reality show. And that’s why people are so addicted to it. There’s one fresh disaster, then there’s a moment of triumph, then there’s another fresh disaster, then there’s everybody telling her to get out, and then everybody rallies. It’s the most extraordinary campaign I’ve ever seen. You never know what’s going to happen. Next thing you know, she won’t get the nomination, she’ll run for governor, and we’ll have Rudy versus Hillary again.” Brown finally took a breath. “I can’t stand it.”
