The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty” ended its record-breaking run on August 7, attracting more than 660,000 visitors. Almost as memorable as the designs were the theatrical reactions they stirred, as overheard during the exhibit’s final weeks.
