The Second Act for Obama’s First-Termers

After months of musical chairs and senatorial blockades, President Obama’s new team is almost in place, which means a slew of Washington insiders—including several members of “the most diverse Cabinet in history”—have had to find new gigs. A few are cashing in with lobbying or Wall Street jobs or lucrative book deals. But more are sidestepping into think tanks and academia or leaving the capital altogether. They also leave behind a noticeably whiter executive branch (albeit one with just as many women).
