The Paley Center’s Royal Wedding Viewing Party

Watch footage of the wedding at the Paley Center’s exclusive screening room—free, but reservations required—from 5:30 a.m. streamed live from London in HD. Tea, scones, and Champagne will be served. The truly dedicated are invited to come wearing their most unique bridesmaid dress for a chance at a special prize.

St. George’s Society of New York’s Royal Wedding Bash

Join the gentrified revelry at an event hosted by one of New York’s oldest British expat clubs—founded in 1770 by early English settlers—at the Edison Ballroom. St. George’s is throwing a three-course-meal extravaganza, complete with live band, Champagne reception, and open bar. And you can even wear a bowler hat, if that’s your thing.

Royal Wedding Party at Lyon Bouchon Moderne

The Lyonnaise bistro will be hosting a live viewing with a traditional British menu and cocktails. There’s also a raffle—tickets are $10 a pop—with prizes including round-trip airfare to London and one of Liz Hurley’s old leopard-print bikinis. When the crowd gets to capacity (projected to be around noon), they’ll host a party on the street along with Tea & Sympathy, with bagpipe players and costume contests.

BBC America’s Screening of the Royal Wedding
Archway under the Manhattan Bridge; Dumbo; 5:30 a.m, 9 a.m., and noon
BBC America and the DUMBO Improvement District will host a (giant) screening of the ceremony at the Archway under the Manhattan Bridge. Fancy dress is encouraged, with contests during the day for the best adult, child, and dog’s costumes (!), and there’ll even be a photobooth on site to commemorate the madness. If 5:30 a.m. is too early for you, the whole thing will be replayed from 9 a.m., with the nuptials re-airing at noon.

The Royal Wedding ‘11 Celebration Party

Expat group Big Apple Brits’ bash starts at 5 a.m. and runs all the way through to 1 a.m. An all-day pass ($60) gets you an open bar, the chance to compete in a fancy-hat competition (ladies only!), a royal trivia quiz, and, of course, wedding cake.

The ChipShop’s Viewing Events

Hearty festivities start at 11 a.m. with a special English breakfast—including the quintessential smoked kippers—and continue on with lunch at 3 p.m., featuring the regular menu plus a full English roast and wedding cupcakes. Gaudy wedding-style hats are encouraged.

Royal Wedding Breakfast at the Jones Wood Foundry

Catch the event live at this UES gastropub, where you can have a $60 three-course breakfast that includes a piece of wedding cake.

Trump International Hotel Royal Wedding Package

Wake up to the wedding at the Trump International Hotel, which is offering a special package that includes breakfast at Jean Georges and a screening, plus a piece of official Royal Wedding china as a memento. Suites from $1,075; tickets for the breakfast only are $149.

The New York Palace Hotel

Snuggle through the ceremony screening at the Palace Hotel, where guests will receive complimentary slippers, pillows, and blankets, plus a special breakfast of scones, scrambled eggs, and bangers.

A Royal Wedding at Queen Vic Pub

Dress in wedding-worthy attire at the Queen Vic and you’ll receive a free drink. There’ll be highlights from all the day’s madness screened, with British pub food and special cocktails on the menu.

Screening Party at Jumeirah Essex House

For the name alone, you’ve got to sample the Middleton Mimosa (or the Buckingham Bellini) at the Jumeirah’s screening party. The wedding will be shown on a 25-foot wall projection, so you can analyze every stitch in Kate’s dress, and there’s the option of a three-course pub meal at the hotel’s restaurant, South Gate.

Lookalike Party at the Eventi Hotel

After a Royal Wedding breakfast — which will include scones, English muffins and a complimentary mimosa – at which the main event will be screened, the winners of a special lookalike competition will be announced.
