Richard Hell belongs to the blank generation.

1. The New York City Food and Wine Festival is happening! Let's eat. There are still tickets left for plenty of events, like a cooking class with Martha Stewart, a vegetarian seminar with Amanda Cohen, tastings, and more.

2. Speaking of eating and drinking, the Zombiecon costumed crawl happens all day Saturday. If you're not staggering as part of your getup, by the end of the day you will be, because, you know, booze. (Please, be responsible.)

3. While on the Lower East Side, they love their pickles so much, they gave them their own day, with Sunday's Pickle Day.

4. On Friday, NYC icon Richard Hell kicks off his interview series at Symphony Space with Lydia Loveless.

5. The venue spans generations, with Thalia Kids' Book Club: An Afternoon With Lois Lowry on Sunday, including Sean Astin reading an excerpt from Number the Stars.

6.On Friday, at the Knitting Factory, catch Har Mar Superstar and Pizza Underground, that Macaulay Culkin Velvet Underground cover band.

7. While on Sunday, you can catch a comedy show named after the Home Alone star, featuring up-and-coming talents Andrew Fisher, Katie Hartman, Nimesh Patel, and more. We wonder if Mac's ever shown up ...

8. Face your inner demons at Sarah Kane's final play, 4:48 Psychosis, at St. Ann's, its first and only American engagement.

9. Or find some candy demons to demolish with your face in our Halloween package. It's only two weeks away!

10. At MoMA PS1, they're exploring electro-acoustic music at their daylong Sound/Source event on Sunday, with artists such as Tyondai Braxton and Vicky Chow.

11. While at BAM, they focus on dance, with the New York debut of Benjamin Millepied's LA Dance Project. Happy weekend!
