What: The Lower East Side rooftop by the Gerber Group throws a backyard BBQ-themed shindig with themed cocktails, perfect to sip poolside.
Price: No tickets are necessary this year, but table reservations are highly recommended .

The Penthouse at Hotel on Rivington

When: 7:30 p.m. to midnight
What: Celebrate with an open bar and buffet in this boutique hotel’s floor-to-ceiling glass penthouse or on its 900-square-foot rooftop — both feature panoramic views of the city and the East River fireworks display, from 20 stories up.

The Ides

When: Ticketed-only entry begins at 7:30 p.m.
What: Tickets are currently sold out for this party, which traditionally includes house-made sausages, German-potato salad, and craft cocktails. But maybe more will open up.

The Z Hotel

When: 6 to 11:30 p.m., with an open bar from 7 to 9 p.m.
What: The evening on the roof of the Z Hotel may offer a more attractive option for families, welcoming children for a lower ticket price and serving classic American fare in its buffet, along with a great view of the night’s main event.

Northern Territory

When: Rooftop opens at 4 p.m.
What: Themed drinks, frozen cocktails, jello shots, and a full menu will be on hand for at this Brooklyn rooftop fave, with premium views of the fireworks.
Price: $60 cash, first-come, first-served, no reservations.

Empire Stores
153-83 Water Street, at Adams Street; DUMBO
When:The park is open from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m.
What: The public rooftop terrace of Empire Stores overlooks the East River, and while this year the barges are concentrated in mid-Manhattan, the views should still be satisfying. Plus, it's free. Bring a picnic!

Vale Park at The William Vale

When:7 to 11 p.m.
What: If you’ve visited Mr. Dips, you’re familiar with the river-facing greenery of Vale Park, which will have the dairy treats for sale alongside burgers, fries, and drinks.
Price: Tickets are $17.76, in honor of the year of independence — sold out, but check to see if more tickets open up.
