Did you cry at the Saved by the Bell reunion cover shoot for People magazine? “I didn’t cry, because I’ve kept in touch with those people through the years. But I wish we’d all been able to have lunch together that day or something. It was kind of ‘Hi! Nice to see you,’ and then suddenly we were posing.” —Elizabeth Berkeley
—John Currin
What is your secret to easing nerves of models when you shoot them nude? “I feel like I don’t come across as threatening. My wife says I just bat my eyelashes and people take their clothes off for me. It’s a huge difference, naked versus nude, but there is sort of a comfort zone to being nude. There’s a vulnerability in being naked.” —Alvin Booth
—Eric Fischl
Have you ever posed nude? “I did it a couple of times, come to think of it. But on film. I’ve never sat nude in front of a bunch of artists for four hours.” —Liev Schreiber
—Eileen Guggenheim
—Will Cotton
Do you agree that clothes define a person? “No! I think men just think they do. The illusion is that clothes make the man. I think it’d be interesting if people dressed closer to who they authentically are, and didn’t always try to be someone else.” —Greg Lauren
—Rachel Feinstein
—Christopher Makos
Have you ever modeled nude for an artist? “No! I haven’t. That’d be scary.” —Heather Graham
—Ronald Perelman
—Todd Eberle
What’s the best meal you’ve eaten in New York this fall? “My mother’s. She’s come and cooked for me. So the best meal I’ve eaten in New York recently is the breakfast my mother made me this morning—Indian food.” —Padma Lakshmi
—Paul Solberg
Have you ever posed nude for an artist? “Only for my wife [Lucy Sykes]. And she doesn’t really like it anymore. She used to like it when we first got married, but now she provides me with underwear. Please don’t try to bribe me or her to get the photographs.” —Euan Rellie
—Wendi Murdoch
—Kate Spade
What was the inspiration behind the mermaid men in your spring 2010 runway show? “Honestly, it was inspired by the trousers. The trousers came first and I wanted to drop the crotch, and then I noticed it looked like a mermaid tail.” —Thom Browne
