The JakeWalk
282 Smith St., at Sackett St., Carroll Gardens; 347-599-0294
The JakeWalk, the eat-in, drink-in love child of two Carroll Gardens food purveyors—adorable cheesemonger Stinky Bklyn and casually tasteful wine boutique Smith & Vine—bears unmistakable imprints of both. The bar’s selection of 30 cheeses is sourced from all over (that cow’s-milk blue cheese is from Tasmania) and is matched by an equally exploratory wine program. The selection of half-bottles and a three-glass flight are priced to try. On one of the upcoming warm days, order a glass of the 2005 Barmes Buecher “Rosenberg” Pinot Blanc with something creamy like Le Brebiou, a sheep’s-milk cheese.
