It’s not the most convenient of locations: three avenues from the closest subway—a veritable death march in heels. But this hotel-roof bar is worth the trudge. The outdoor lounge’s far–West Side home, on the sixteenth floor of the recently opened Ink48 Hotel, towers over its neighbors, giving it unobstructed views of midtown to the east and of the Hudson River to the west. The U-shaped terrace is only half-open so far; nonetheless, smartly dressed PR and fashion types have been flooding the space since it opened last month, fueled by throwback cocktails like the Moscow Mule (a rooftop-reasonable $15).
