Never one to miss a hot mixological trend, Ravi DeRossi (Mayahuel, Death & Co.) has lately jumped onto the bitters bandwagon. The inexhaustible bar opener tapped Red Hook bitters makers Bittermens to bring Amor y Amargo—a combination classroom, retail space, and tasting room—to his Cienfuegos compound in the East Village. Tasters can sip bitters by the flight, which start at $12 for three pours of Campari, Aperol, and the like, or new inventions like the applejack-and-genever Orchard Street Cel’ry Soda ($12).
