Quality Meats mastermind Michael Stillman’s first nightlife venture, adjacent to his massive Hurricane Club restaurant on Park Avenue, suffers from a slight identity crisis. It’s a tiki bar and a dance club, a sorority party run amok and a bottle-service lounge. And, obviously, it’s a damn fun night out. Malaysian tapestries line the interior, which is sporadically lit up by sparklers accompanying booze-filled communal punch bowls. Glowing tiki heads or oversize plastic flamingos are Riff Raff’s version of bottle-service receptacles and cost in the hundreds of dollars (though drinks can also be ordered by the glass: beers, $8; cocktails, $18). Attractive D.J.’s pump everything from Waka Flocka Flame to Duran Duran, while bartenders strut in coconut bras and Agent Provocateur sequined pasties, and leggy waitresses dab paint on willing faces (beware of the mirror the morning after).
