The Fort Greene speakeasy, hidden behind an unmarked wooden garage door, is the rare mirror-lined, tin-ceilinged classic cocktail joint where the sexiness isn’t undermined by a pretentious crowd or puffed-up “mixologist.” Instead, at this cozy, top-shelf neighborhood place—owned by Treis Hill of Alife and Asio Highsmith of the nearby WTF Coffee Lab—locals looking to get lucky lean into conversations while sipping $10 to $14 cocktails like the Cavalier (cognac, Cointreau, and apricot preserves) or Chicago Fizz (Ron Zacapa rum and ruby port) before stumbling home.
