Founded by George Fortunato in 1965 as a workers’ compensation firm specializing in state and federal compensation claims, Brooklyn personal injury law firm Fortunato & Fortunato has grown to include not only two more Fortunato family members, but social security disability and legal litigation practices as well. The firm specializes in construction accidents falling under New York State Labor Law 240(1), 241(6), and 200 statutes which protect workers injured at construction job sites, such as workers falling from scaffolds, ladders, beams, cranes, and tripping and slipping job site hazards.

It is in a client’s best interests to keep all of their legal needs gathered under one protective law firm, so that every part of their representation remains cohesive, consistent, and controlled. Unlike many law firms with similar practices, the attorneys at Fortunato & Fortunato have the ability to take care of every aspect of their client’s case, whether preparing for a workers’ compensation hearing, pursuing a third-party lawsuit, or applying for social security disability benefits. The firm’s more than four decades of experience have established the attorneys at Fortunato & Fortunato as respected figures in the community, and insurance companies hold them in high regard for the professional manner in which they’ve conducted their work. Through their continued commitment to protecting workers from unsafe conditions, the firm is able to offer this high standard of legal care to all of its clients, and has recovered more than $75 million in construction accident and compensation settlements to date.

True to its family roots and values, the firm’s staff of attorneys, paralegals, and compensation and social security specialists includes two of Mr. Fortunato’s daughters. Annamarie Fortunato, admitted to practice in the State of New York and New Jersey, has had a successful career, including several years as a solo practitioner. She has been recognized by the Who’s Who of Distinguished Americans of Italian Descent, the America’s Registry of Outstanding Professionals, and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. When her sister, Camille Fortunato, joined the firm in 2003 after being admitted to practice in the State of New York, New Jersey, and in the Federal Eastern District, it was renamed to Fortunato & Fortunato, PLLC, and it continues a long tradition of helping injured workers through difficult and trying times in their lives.
