Ari Friedman has been at the forefront of social change in family law for more than three decades, serving as a fierce proponent of equal gender rights in issues of child custody and parental recognition. Most recently, she has been handling many cutting-edge same-sex divorce matters, including cases affected by the New York Court of Appeals’ groundbreaking decision allowing caretakers who are not relatives or adoptive guardians to be recognized as parents. “As a mother of two, I understand the importance of family and of protecting the rights and future of your children,” notes Friedman, who is joined at the firm by her daughter Andrea, an accomplished lawyer in her own right.
Friedman is regularly honored by her peers for her zealous representation and high-quality work.
