Keogh Crispi, PC

Pat James Crispi

Keogh Crispi, PC is an accomplished New York City personal injury law firm with a history of achieving outstanding results for its clients. The firm’s attorneys, who have over 40 years of combined trial experience, recognize that achieving justice for their clients requires the utmost preparation and a formidable client service commitment.

“When a person commences a lawsuit, the main objective is to demonstrate that as a victim that person unjustly pays a price for the wrong of another party. The system is designed to promote social accountability which makes us all safer and more diligent,” says senior partner Pat James Crispi. “In a civil society, there must be consequences for not living up to a certain level of reasonable care.”

The attorneys at Keogh Crispi have the expertise to convert information into a form that can be presented before a jury in a courtroom. Crispi says that the philosophy of the firm is to prepare a case for all of the uncertainties that can occur at trial. “Only a true trial attorney, with extensive courtroom experience, has the capacity to analyze a case from the end looking back. At Keogh Crispi it is a team effort, and we ensure that for every case we are there for the client no matter the difficulty of their situation.”

By staying true to its founding principles of preparation and client service, Keogh Crispi has been able to obtain superior results for its clients. Recently the firm secured awards of $4.63 million and of $4.5 million. The latter was for a worker who was employed on the excavation phase of a construction project in Manhattan when he suffered a crush injury to his foot. “Here was a man with a family to support, who put in over 25 years with a company as a construction worker, and was left to bear a devastating physical and financial burden that he is forced to live with for the rest of his life,” Crispi says. “Though a financial recovery cannot completely eliminate the consequences of a loss of such magnitude, our goal is to help people by securing for them the civil justice they deserve.”

Crispi, along with his co-founding partner Dorothy M. Keogh, describes the firm’s relationship with its clients as an alliance in which extensive preparation and candid discussions help prepare them for describing their experience to a jury in credible detail. He attributes Keogh Crispi’s success to its guarantee that clients will actively participate on an informed level in every meaningful decision that has to be made. In 2010 and 2011 Crispi was recognized for his skillful representation when he was selected for inclusion in each year’s edition of New York Super Lawyers.
