At Gersowitz Libo & Korek, every case is given a partner’s individual attention, as well as the benefit of the “family style” collaboration that occurs when the attorneys come together to bring fresh perspectives and ideas to their colleague’s cases. This boutique firm takes pride in its continuous growth over the years, much of which has been the result of referrals from former clients who have found satisfaction with the outcome of their cases and the hands-on attention they received. Take, for example, the recent eight-figure settlement obtained by the firm on behalf of a young woman, whose car was struck by a bus, resulting in significant physical injuries and brain damage.
These difficult economic times have made the firm’s work that much more important, as individuals who have been injured cannot afford not to seek maximum redress. The firm is selective with the cases it takes on, and advances all costs and expenses associated with the lawsuit. The cases are taken on a contingency fee arrangement and clients don’t pay a dime in attorneys’ fees unless the case is won.
“We go to bat for them and give them what our civil justice system allows, which is equal footing”
All personnel at Gersowitz Libo & Korek are sensitive to each client’s needs and understand that each client is an individual deserving special attention. Similarly, it is important that the new client gains an understanding of what can be expected throughout their association with the firm. “We go to bat for them and give them what our civil justice system allows, which is equal footing, often with corporate wrongdoers. We put our clients toe-to-toe so they’re not at a disadvantage,” says co-founding partner Edward H. Gersowitz.
