Joseph Viener joined Sanders, Sanders, Block, Woycik, Viener & Grossman, PC in 1993 and now serves as head of the Firm’s Medical Malpractice and Hospital Infection Department. He is now one of The Sanders Firm’s featured speakers in the areas of medical malpractice as well as Premises Liability. Mr Viener also co-manages the Firm’s Medical and Science Teams, which includes a physician, a pharmaceutical sales and marketing expert, and several on-staff nurse-paralegals. Under his management, the team works together to discuss not only the viability of a case, but collaborates so as to best guide clients through their recoveries with a far greater understanding of their medical problem, their pain, and their care.
Additionally, Mr. Viener has fought for the rights of prisoners all over New York State, and has successfully litigated claims against the police for unnecessary force during arrests and wrongful interrogations.
Mr. Viener is admitted to practice before the New York State and Federal Courts, has clerked for the Chief of the Civil Rights unit in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, and is a member of the Nassau County, New York County, and New York State Bar Associations.
