Elizabeth M. Young practices in the areas of products liability and mass tort litigation and serves as lead counsel for defendants in toxic tort litigation, including asbestos litigation, in state court throughout New York and in federal court. She achieved a decision unanimously affirming summary judgment for a premises owner in the first appellate asbestos case under the New York Labor Law. Her experience also includes commercial and class action defense litigation.
Ms. Young is admitted to practice in New York, the District of Columbia, the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. She received an AB degree in Political Science from Vassar College and a JD degree from Fordham University School of Law.
Ms. Young is a member of the faculty of the City Bar Center for Continuing Legal Education. She is rated AV® Preeminent™ by Martindale-Hubbell® and was selected for inclusion in The Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers.
