Laurie Berke-Weiss, a founding partner of Berke-Weiss & Pechman LLP, focuses her practice on all aspects of workplace law, including claims of sex harassment, discrimination and wrongful termination, negotiation of employment contracts and severance agreements, handling partnership issues, and litigation of non-competition agreements and other restrictive covenants. Corporations, non-profits, local businesses, lawyers, physicians, executives, architects, and teachers number among her clients.
Laurie is AV rated®, with 30 years’ experience in state and federal litigation, as well as arbitration and mediation of disputes. Laurie is a leader in the New York legal community. She is a past President of the New York Women’s Bar Association, has served as Chair of the Executive Committee of the New York City Bar Association, and currently is a member of its Council on the Profession. Laurie is a graduate of the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University and Fordham Law School.
