Laurie Berke-Weiss


Laurie Berke-Weiss practices all aspects of workplace law. Corporations, non-profits, local businesses, executives, lawyers, physicians, architects, and teachers number among her clients. Laurie negotiates employment contracts and severance agreements, handles partnership issues, provides advice and counsel on workplace policies and procedures, and conducts workplace investigations. She also litigates claims concerning sex harassment, discrimination and wrongful termination, Family Medical Leave Act including pregnancy issues, and non-competition agreements. Laurie is A-V rated. She has 30 years' experience in state and federal litigation, arbitration and mediation. Laurie is a leader in the New York legal community, having served as President of the New York Women's Bar Association and Chair of the Executive Committee of the New York City Bar Association. Currently, she chairs the City Bar's Advisory Committee on the New Lawyer Institute. Laurie is a graduate of Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations and Fordham Law School.
