HBO has acquired the rights to Jessica Cutler’s The Washingtonienne, a book based on the salacious blog she wrote while working as an intern on Capitol Hill; Sarah Jessica Parker will co-produce. . . . Bill Clinton is launching a series of albums featuring his favorite songs; the first, Selections From the Clinton Music Room, hits stores next month and contains classics such as “Summertime” and “My Funny Valentine”. . . . Jon Voight has taken on the role of Pope John Paul II for a CBS mini-series about the late pontiff that began production in early August. . . . Da Ali G Show star Sacha Baron Cohen will play a gay NASCAR driver in Will Ferrell’s as-yet-untitled big-budget racing movie; John C. Reilly has signed on as well, with production scheduled to start next month. . . . Fiona Apple’s long-delayed CD, Extraordinary Machine, will finally see the light of day this fall. Epic plans to release a revamped version of Apple’s original album, much of which was leaked onto the Internet last year.
