Six Feet Under star Michael C. Hall (who plays David) will star in the Off Broadway play Mr. Marmalade as an imaginary friend to a lovesick little girl; the play debuts in November. . . . Eric Clapton’s sixties supergroup Cream has confirmed that it will play three dates in New York next month (October 24 to 26 at Madison Square Garden); advance tickets are scheduled to go on sale next week. . . . Hoping to cash in on The Da Vinci Code phenomenon, Doubleday has plans to publish The Leonardo da Vinci Cookbook, a historical book highlighting the artist’s inventions and concoctions for the kitchen. . . . Christopher Guest and Eugene Levy’s new movie, For Your Consideration, will focus on the making of a bad indie film titled Home for Purim, and will include The Office’s Ricky Gervais as well as many of the pair’s frequent collaborators, such as Parker Posey, Catherine O’Hara, and Michael McKean. . . .
