William H. Macy, Anthony Hopkins, Demi Moore, Elijah Wood, and Helen Hunt (among others) have signed on for Emilio Estevez’s upcoming feature film, Bobby, which takes place the night of Robert F. Kennedy’s assassination in 1968. . . . Hyperion Books has commissioned a novel from an undisclosed author that will tie in to the plot of the hit ABC series Lost; the book will be introduced on the show, where it will surface as a “found” manuscript. . . . Indie-rock supergroup Yo La Tengo will hold its annual Hanukkah Rockathon at Maxwell’s in Hoboken, New Jersey; past years’ surprise opening acts have included the Wrens, David Byrne and Sarah Silverman. . . . Rumored lovebirds Lindsay Lohan and Jared Leto have signed on to star in an upcoming indie film about John Lennon’s assassin, Mark David Chapman; production begins in New York in January. . . . Former Daily News editor Russ Hoyle has a deal for his book, Going to War, which investigates White House manipulation of media coverage. It will be published in 2007.
