Kennedy’s assassination in 1968. . . . Hyperion Books has commissioned a novel from an undisclosed author that will tie in to the plot of the hit ABC series Lost; the book will be introduced on the show, where it will surface as a “found” manuscript. . . . Indie-rock supergroup Yo La Tengo will hold its annual Hanukkah Rockathon at Maxwell’s in Hoboken, New Jersey; past years’ surprise opening acts have included the Wrens, David Byrne and Sarah Silverman. . . . Rumored lovebirds Lindsay Lohan and Jared Leto have signed on to star in an upcoming indie film about John Lennon’s assassin, Mark David Chapman; production begins in New York in January. . . . Former Daily News editor Russ Hoyle has a deal for his book, Going to War, which investigates White House manipulation of media coverage. It will be published in 2007.
