Walk past the Anthony Gianzero salon in Chelsea, with its glass doors flung open, lush plantings, and people sipping wine on outside benches, and you might mistake it for a hip bar. And it sort of is. But it’s also the source of one of the city’s most stylish and pleasant summer haircuts. Gianzero and partner Mitsuru Nakabori opened the tiny unisex salon two years ago after gaining a following at Robert Kree; their services are on a par with the best Madison Avenue has to offer. Cuts start at $65, single-process color at $85, and highlights at $150.
