When a friend offered Catherine Keane $500 last summer to load his iPod, she figured it sounded like easy money. (Keane, 23, had just finished an internship at a radio station.) Thus was born HungryPod, one of the many MP3-loading services that have popped up in response to the iPod craze. Unlike many services that load only iPods and require customers to mail in their music, Keane will deal with all MP3 players, and for $1.50 per CD will pick up your music collection from your apartment or office and deliver the entire finished package within four days. For an extra fee, Keane will use her D.J. savvy to compile a list of songs she thinks you’ll like, based on your existing collection, and, with your approval, buy the tracks from iTunes.
