Thong schmong! I want something comfortable.
Try Eres, the French lingerie company behind the $95 bikini briefs.
I wish I’d thought of that!
Well, Irene Leroux did. “In the sixties, I was in the south of Spain trying to flee a man,” she explains. “I saw a girl in a bikini with no padding or bones. I thought, There is nothing that is simple and expensive. There was a real need!”
But French girls are such waifs—will they fit me?
“When I opened the Madison Avenue store, I was worried. I had heard Americans were all D cups,” says Leroux, “but I was never prepared to adapt. That is losing your soul.”
