There has always been something for everyone at Sigerson Morrison: toes pointy or round, heels chunky or slim, colors and textures ranging from shiny silver foil to rich plum suede. What there hasn’t always been are shoes most people can afford. But that’s all changed now that Kari Sigerson and Miranda Morrison have launched Belle, a lower-priced line designed in the spirit of the original. “We thought it would be really fun to make something more accessible,” says Sigerson. A limited range of styles keep prices (relatively) reasonable. “Instead of fifteen amazing, juicy colors, there are three,” she adds. “But they are the three juiciest!” Okay, but getting all three (they’re $225 to $281 a pair at Bloomingdale’s) might still be something of an extravagance.
